Why it works

Feeds the barrier underneath, so skin can look after itself.

Made for the patches that flare

Kawakawa, calendula and mānuka honey soothe dry, irritated, eczema-prone skin — while prebiotics feed the good bacteria that keep the barrier strong.

Rich, but it sinks in

Shea butter, avocado and hemp seed oil warm between your fingers and melt in. A balm, not a greasy film.

Nothing to hide

Steroid-free, fragrance-free and paraben-free. Made in Aotearoa. Patch-test a small area first if skin has reacted to products before.

The difference

Most balms stop at the surface.

How to use it
After a bath (Soft Suds works well here), pat skin dry — don’t rub. Take a small amount on a clean finger and warm it between your hands. Smooth onto the patches that need it. Use as often as you like; two or three times a day during a dry spell is normal. One 80 ml / 2.7 fl oz tube lasts 4–6 weeks of everyday use.
Who it’s for (and who it’s not)

For eczema-prone, dry, irritated or reactive skin — the cheeks that flare, the dry patches that keep coming back, wind-burnt skin, the rough patch that won’t quit. Loved by parents, and used by plenty of adults on their own hands too.

This isn’t a steroid replacement for severe, medically-diagnosed eczema — keep talking to your doctor or dermatologist. And it’s a balm, not a body lotion: slightly thicker, slightly richer, made for the patches that need it rather than all-over.

Questions

Straight from our inbox, DMs and product Q&A.

The product

Can I use it on a baby?
Calm Balm was patch-tested on adults, and we don’t hold paediatric safety data — so we don’t make a “newborn-safe” claim. Plenty of parents use it on older babies’ and children’s dry patches; if that’s you, patch-test a small area first, and check with your Plunket nurse or GP if the skin is broken or reacting.
Does it contain steroids?
No. Calm Balm is steroid-free. It’s not a replacement for prescribed treatment — if your child is on a steroid cream for diagnosed eczema, keep following your doctor’s advice alongside it.
Which one for eczema-prone skin — Calm Balm or Lotion Potion?
Calm Balm is the rich, targeted one — made for the dry, irritated, eczema-prone patches, and it’s the one with the 109-adult patch test behind it. Lotion Potion is the lighter all-over daily moisturiser. Plenty of families use both: moisturise everywhere after the bath, then press Calm Balm onto the spots that flare.
My little one is allergic to honey or bees — can they use it?
Calm Balm contains mānuka honey, so if there’s a known honey or bee-product allergy, give it a miss or check with your GP first. The full ingredient list is in the section above — always worth checking against any known allergies before starting something new.
Can adults use it?
Yes — a lot of parents end up using it on their own hands and dry patches as much as their kids’.
How long until I see a difference?
Skin is individual and results vary, so we don’t promise a timeline. Use it consistently on the patches that need it — and if it’s not working for you, that’s what the 30-day guarantee is for.
Is it greasy?
No. It’s a soft balm that warms between your fingers and melts in. No film, no shine.
Is it fragranced?
No added fragrance. Calm Balm is formulated without synthetic fragrance, sulfates and parabens.

Trying it

Do you do samples?
We don’t sell sample sizes — the 30-day guarantee is our version of one. Try your first tube on real patches for a few weeks, and if it’s not for you, we’ll refund it — no return needed.
Can I see the patch-test study?
Yes. Calm Balm was independently patch-tested on 109 adults — half with self-assessed sensitive skin — using a modified Draize repeat-insult protocol, with zero reactions recorded. Email hey@noody.co.nz and we’ll send you the study summary.
What’s the 30-day guarantee?
Try your first tube for 30 days. Not happy? Email hey@noody.co.nz and we’ll refund it in full — no return required. One guarantee claim per product per customer, on orders placed with us directly. (If skin reacts, stop use and get in touch straight away — that’s handled separately and quickly.)

Ordering & delivery

How fast is delivery?
Free tracked shipping on orders over $79. Allow 1-3 business days.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, worldwide. Any customs duties or import taxes at your end aren’t included in the order total — UK orders may attract VAT and handling on arrival, EU orders under €150 usually have VAT collected by the courier, and most Australian orders fall under the AUD $1,000 de minimis so are unlikely to attract duty. Worth a quick check of your local rules before ordering.
Something in my order is out of stock — what happens?
If your order includes a pre-order item, we hold it and ship everything together when stock lands. Need the in-stock things sooner? Email hey@noody.co.nz and we’ll sort sending them first.
