Can I use Sun Balm on my baby?
Sun Balm is made for family use. For babies under 6 months, shade and protective clothing come first — minimise direct sun exposure and ask your GP before using sunscreen.
Does Sun Balm leave a white cast?
Mineral zinc sunscreens can leave some whitening, but Sun Balm is formulated as a soft, creamy balm that blends in with minimal whitening when massaged well into the skin.
Is Sun Balm suitable for sensitive skin or eczema-prone skin?
Sun Balm has no added fragrance and uses zinc oxide as its only active UV filter. Skin is individual, so patch-test first on highly reactive skin and stop use if irritation occurs.
Is this sunscreen waterproof or water-resistant?
Sun Balm has not been tested for water resistance, so no water-resistance claim is made. Reapply after swimming, sweating or towelling off, and every two hours in the sun.
How much should I apply?
Apply a generous, even layer to exposed skin 20 minutes before sun exposure. Mineral sunscreens work best when applied liberally and massaged until the balm melts into the skin.

Is Sun Balm greasy or sticky?
No — the balm is lightweight, creamy, and designed to melt into the skin without feeling heavy, greasy, or sticky.
Does Sun Balm contain chemical UV filters?
No. Zinc oxide at 24.7% is the only active UV filter. There are no chemical UV filters.
Does Sun Balm smell like coconut or fragrance?
It has a very mild natural scent from the ingredients themselves and contains no synthetic fragrance.
Can adults use Sun Balm too?

Sensational Sun Balm

By far one of the better sunscreens out there for kids, its light and easy to put on/rub in. Having used it on my face I would say it can feel a bit oily but I am yet to find a sunscreen that doesn't. Would absolutely recommend to anyone, sensitive skin or not it is definitely a winner!

We love the Calm Balm and moisturiser. The sunscreen didn’t disappoint. Rubs in easily, and is not thick like other SPF50s.
Not sure it would do well in water, but a good one to have in the arsenal of sunblocks and much nicer for regular use than others.
I’ll be using it myself!

yayy for summer!

I was so excited to try this new product for my son. Loved the packaging as always! The coverage was really good though I found it a bit thick. I like that it was fragrance free but at first I thought it has a weird smell, later on I got used to it. It’s a great product for everyday use not just for summer time.

Amazing and Smells Delicious

Finally, a sunscreen that is safe to use and that's made in NZ

I just love having a natural sunscreen option available in NZ. Its always been so difficult to find sunscreen that im comfortable to use on my children's skin. Previously having to shop overseas for natural options. It is a lovely product to apply however I did use it on my own face and found it to be a bit oily. Which is probably the coconut oil, so I won't be using it but its fine for the kids.

Lovely spf

I really like the consistency. Its not oily but also not drying on the skin. It does however leave a white cast, so you have to work it into the skin. Kids like it a lot.
