How to use it
Apply generously to all exposed skin 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours, and after swimming, sweating or towelling off. Do not rely on sunscreen alone: use shade, clothing and hats too. For babies under 6 months, minimise direct sun exposure and ask your GP before using sunscreen.

The product

Is it water resistant?
No water-resistance claim is made because Sun Balm has not been tested for water resistance. Reapply after swimming, sweating or towelling off, and every 2 hours in the sun.
Will it leave a white cast?
It rubs in more easily than most mineral sunscreens, but a faint cast may be visible on deeper skin tones at full coverage.
Can I use it on a baby?
Sun Balm is made for family use. For babies under 6 months, shade and protective clothing come first — minimise direct sun exposure and ask your GP before using sunscreen.
Chemical or mineral?
Mineral. Zinc oxide at 24.7% is the only active UV filter. There are no chemical UV filters.
Why SPF 50 and not 50+?
The in-vivo test produced a mean SPF result of 52.6. Under AS/NZS 2604:2021, that supports an SPF 50 label; we use the label supported by the test result.
